Allerian – the rulebook
1. All members are expected to enjoy the game in good faith.
This means that abusive behaviour, trade scamming, use of hacks, exploits and cheats will not be tolerated. When you're wearing the Allerian tag, you're representing the guild as well as yourself.
2. Respect and courtesy to each other at all times is the cornerstone of our guild.
No malicious mistreating or speaking poorly of other guild members will be tolerated in public chat; this includes /guild chat, on our forums, and on our guild Ventrilo servers. If you have a problem with another guild member that cannot be resolved through personal discussion, an officer may be contacted and mediation may be requested. At that time a guild officer will schedule a time to meet with both guild members and try and mediate the problem to ensure both members are treated fairly.
Please remember that we are a diverse group of individuals and that you will not always completely agree with one another but that we all must come to terms with those things and try and not take differences of opinion out of context. Officers are always glad to help resolve problems. Publically embarrassing a fellow guild member never makes a situation better.
3. Begging for items, cash, or power leveling is not tolerated.
We do not beg from guild members or from others outside the guild. This includes asking for money or items in guild chat as well as asking outsiders. If you need something and wish to ask an individual guild member, ask politely and if the answer is no, drop it. If an item is offered freely to the guild and you need it, state so simply, without begging or getting angry if the item is sent to someone else.
4. Respect the playtime of other guild members.
While it is expected that guild members will do their best to help one another when possible and feasible to do so, guild members may not demand services or aid from other members to the point of harassment. It is fine to ask politely for quest help, profession help, or with other assistance, but it is not acceptable to demand such services as your due or to continue to harass guild members who, for one reason or another, are unable to render such assistance. These are gifts we give one another, and it is rude to demand gifts.
Also realize that not everyone wants to chat all the time. No guild member should feel pressured to chat when they don't feel like it; this includes both public chat and private chat through channels and /whisper. If a guild member tells you that they don't feel like chatting, respect their wishes and end the conversation. It's not personal; the person may just wish to concentrate on their game. It's hard to fight and chat at the same time, particularly if you're not a fast typer!
All members have a right to decide what to do with their playtime and not feel like they are being harassed. If someone chooses to help or chat or hang out, that's great, but if they choose to do something else instead, that is their right to decide.
5. Keep guild chat clean.
Racism, sexism, and other blatantly offensive behaviour is never, ever tolerated.
6. The guild Ventrilo servers are for the use of current members.
Please be respectful to other users while using Ventrilo. Officers will take steps to remove the Ventrilo privileges of any person who causes disruption.
7. Guild members must log on at least once every 30 days to maintain active status.
If you have not logged on in at least 1 month, we will assume you've lost interest in the guild and your character will be removed. We keep a list of guild members removed for inactivity. If you were one of them, just contact a officer either in game or via PM, and they will reinstate you to non raider.
8. Violations of guild rules.
Violations of guild rules by regular members (past the 4 week probationary period) may result in one official warning from an officer; two official warnings may result in permanent removal from the guild, pending an officer review.
Violations of guild rules by probationary members (under 4 weeks' membership) may result in immediate removal from the guild without warning. Full members may also be demoted to probationary status as a result of a warning, at the discretion of the officers.
Our Officers
The day-to-day operations of the guild (such as event planning, membership processes, the guild bank system, etc.) are managed by the officers. The officers are also responsible for keeping the direction of the guild in line with its underlying vision, mission, and values. While decisions related to shifts in guild direction are made by the officers, these decisions are not made in a vacuum: the officers will solicit input from members in public and private through in-game communications, the forums, and the Ventrilo server. Members are encouraged to contact the officers if they have suggestions, questions, or concerns.
